About Me

Hello, my name is Xiaotao Zhong, I also go by Sunny. I am a passionate and highly skilled journalist with a diverse background and proven experience in reporting, writing, video editing and production, graphic design, and photography.

I graduated from Northwestern University last year with a Master's degree in Journalism (MSJ) specializing in sports media.I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies Honours (BCoMS) from Carleton University.

As a versatile journalist, I've covered a wide range of topics from sports to culture to small business. I am adept at multimedia storytelling and have reported at multiple sporting events including NBA, WNBA, and WM Phoenix Open 2022.

I am proficient in post-production tools including Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom. Additionally, my familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects enables me to create captivating visual elements that enhance storytelling.

After graduating from Northwestern, I've been working as a graphic designer for multiple sports organizations and agencies creating content for social media marketing needs. In my free time, I like to stay creative and produce graphics of my favorite NBA and soccer stars.
